When we lived in Washington, Tracy and I avoided movie theaters like the plague. We were on a tight budget, and movie theaters suck out at least $7 per person--for the matinee price!!
Here in College Station, Texas, while we are still on a budget, one matinee ticket costs $3.50. It cost just $7 for both of us to see a movie today. Not bad, not bad at all. We thought about buying popcorn with our savings--yes, we just thought about it. We could use what we saved for another movie another time. haha!
We still probably won't see every movie in the theaters. After all, we're official fans of Redbox now. But if we do want to go the movies, we don't have to feel like we're completely wasting our money.

Yeah, I LOVE going to the movies...but it is crazy expensive. And I love popcorn too...so really the whole experience could buy like a week's worth of groceries.

That is one thing I miss about Texas--cheap movie prices! We used to go to downtown Fort Worth on Saturday mornings to see movies--$4 a piece! So we saw new movies for a grand total of eight dollars. We made it a "date morning" as opposed to a date night!
